Great Britain Online
We take your privacy very seriously. As a company that obtains and processes personal data about individuals, we have a legal obligation to ensure that we process this information fairly, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We are registered in the Data Protection Public Register (Z1793537), and, in addition, this privacy notice describes how we process your personal data fairly.
What information we obtain about you, why we collect it, how we use it, and how long we keep this personal data
If you decide to place an order with us, you need to provide personal data for us to process your order. This information will include your name, address, telephone number (s), and email address. We only retain your personal data for as long as we need to in order to keep a record of your order (s), in accordance with our statutory requirements related to accounting; and/or to provide the ability for you to place future orders without needing to provide your personal data to us again.
Apart from customers who have asked us to keep them informed about DVDs, we do not conduct any other form of direct marketing. This includes direct marketing via post; telephone, both landlines and mobile phones (including text messages (SMS)); fax; and/or email. Therefore, we do not send any form of unsolicited communications, including Unsolicited Bulk Email (UBE) and its commercial equivalent Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE). People more commonly refer to both UBE and UCE as spam, or less frequently, as junk email.
Sharing your personal information
We do not share your personal data with any third party organisations, whether they reside within the European Economic Area (EEA) or not, unless we are required to do so by law.
Your rights as an individual
As an individual, you have a right to: obtain a copy of the personal data that we store in our computer systems and our database for our Web site; request that we correct inaccurate information; request that we remove all of your personal data from our computer systems, excluding information that we are required to keep in accordance with our statutory requirements related to accounting; and complain to the Information Commissioner if you are not happy with the way that we have processed your personal data.
If you have a question about how we process your personal data and/to submit a request related to your information, please contact us. Once we receive your question and/or request, we will respond in writing, to confirm that we have received your communication. We will do this either via email or in a letter. This also applies if you telephoned us. Throughout this process, we will keep you informed about the status of your enquiry.
